Heart of A Hero

Over 4,500 words make up this design, and each and every one holds very close meaning.

I recently entered a T-Shirt Design contest to help out the John Wayne Cancer Research foundation. It would really mean a lot if you could vote for my T-shirt design.

I took about 19 hours to make the design, from choosing the right words, to rendering them in illustrator, and then arranging them in photoshop, I put a ton of creativity and effort into it. I would be forever grateful if you guys could vote for me.

One of my closest relatives passed away from cancer, and it has touched the lives of far too many individuals and families around the world by causing them to lose their fellow friends and family members as well. This cause is very near and dear to my heart, so if you could take just 10 seconds to vote for my design, it would mean everything. This program really raises awareness of Cancer research through this program, and it donates the proceeds of all of its T-shirt sales from this contest to the Research foundation.

There is more to being a hero than meets the ordinary eye. There are many ways to describe a hero, with synonyms, actions and even powers, but no matter what you call a hero, or how you glorify the qualities of a hero, the most intrinsic quality of a hero is love.

A hero can be a mother, an environmentalist, a writer, citizen starting a revolution, a brother, an athlete, or any other thing that anyone could ever be. It is not what you do, but the intentions that you hold in your heart. The true measure of a hero comes from within.

To be a true hero, you need not have superpowers that let you fly, or enough money to buy a private island. Being a hero is simple a choice between fear and love. Because, when it comes down to it, Love is the greatest superpower of all.
